Galactic Skirmish |
An action-packed two-player space shooter/2D fighter hybrid. Choose among eight different fighters, each with two unique
weapons. Pestilence's ship comes equipped with a vampiric arsenal; his
secondary weapon is a harpoon which will latch on and continuously drain health, but will leave him more vulnerable.
There's also Mekanikal, who prefers to fight his enemies with mines and heat seekers.
Originally, I had much more ambitious ideas for this this game, but some of my ideas were
difficult to carry out since I was a one-man team (I did all of the coding and graphics). However, the
main idea (shooter/fighter hybrid) was carried out and I learned a significant deal about implementing mechanical physics.
Everything, from weapons to player ships, exhibit belivable physics with an emphasis on fun, of course.
With some more gameplay tweaking and polishing, it could only get better!
